Rock Lines Magazine would like to introduce you to Amy Sinclair of Ventura Tattoo and Piercing. Amy has always had a love for art and painting, so when a neighbor who was a tattoo artist got to see Amy’s paintings he asked if she had ever considered tattooing? She began tattooing at the age of 18, by watching other artists work and taking advice and tips from artists around the shop. It’s always great when an artist uses their skills to better the lives of others. Amy works with survivors of cancer and addiction as well as Veterans to cover up scars of their past and provide healing. We asked how difficult it is to cover up scars and she replied that everyone’s skin is different but placement is the key to a successful cover up.
We also asked Amy what tattoos she likes to design and she said nature, floral, as well as color work and Traumatic Injury cover ups. This will be her second year at Inkcarceration and is super excited about making a return trip. Unfortunately, Amy has booked all of her appointments for this year. However, she said she might be able to do a couple walk ups if time permits. Rock Lines highly recommends you stop by and check out Amy’s work, she is an amazing artist!
