ChiTown’s Own DITCHWATER Bring Their Heavy Rock To Pavement Entertainment

Chicago has long been a mecca for music no matter the genre. Ditchwater is part of that heritage and has been around since 1993. They’ve seen the ups and downs but seem to have a niche` at getting through the hard times and have always come out stronger. They consider themselves a band for the people and continue to build their brand of Heavy Rock.

Mark Anderson (guitarist) and Mike Meadows (vocalist) got together in 2018 and started putting material together for a new album. They were driven to produce a different sound yet keeping it uniquely Ditchwater. Out of the fray came 10 new tracks that intertwined heavy grooves with melodically charged emotion and harmonic passages. It also included a spectacular rendition of Motörhead’s classic “Iron Fist”.

‘Never Say Never’, is the 7th album in the Ditchwater discography and is heavy metal wonder. The album proved its merit when it caught the eyes and ears of Pavement Entertainment which led to the band signing with the label in early 2020.

I’ll admit that I personally had never heard Ditchwater before. But if their sound was anything like ‘Never Say Never’, I have done myself a disservice. My advice; don’t miss out and give Ditchwater a listen. I think you’ll like what you hear.

Joining Anderson and Meadow in the current Ditchwater lineup are Mason Brown on bass and Mike Tignino behind the kit.

Until next time this is Big L saying ‘keep those horns up and rock on’!! \m/ \m/
