Andrew Hagar and the Midnight Suns set to release their debut EP at the end of June!!

It would be easy for someone to look at Andrew Hagar and think there goes someone that was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Afterall, his father was the famous ‘Red Rocker’, a.k.a. Sammy Hagar, of “I Can’t Drive 55”, Montrose, and Van Halen fame.

Being the son of such an icon most assuredly opened all kinds of doors and made it easy for him to get into the entertainment industry.

Yea, he must have had a spot near the front of the gravy train. However, nothing could be further from the truth. The younger Hagar lived in relative ignominy, getting a late start into his musical career. Hagar played acoustically as an opener for another iconic musician, Kris Kristofferson, in 2016. He showed talent as a folk singer/songwriter, something he learned from his mom, who he lived with as a youth.

He then started to turn to his father’s roots of rock-and-roll with his venture with his project, Hagen ALTER, along with good friends Trevor William Church and Andrew Alejandro Saldate IV. They released a single/ video entitled “Mourning Ritual”, which can be seen below.

Move forward to present day and Andrew is embarking on another rock journey as the frontman for a band known as Andrew Hagar and the Midnight Suns. The group is set to release their debut album, “Limited Edition Psycho” at the end of the month.

They have unleashed three singles from the album, including “Redlight Appetite”, their first, “Leave It Alone”, and their latest “Systematic Minds”.

Hagar has worked hard to get to where he is today and not by riding the coattails of his famous dad. The fact that he is Sammy’s son may have opened a few doors, however it has taken Andrew’s talent and determination to get to where he is today.

I expect big things from the younger Hagar. Not because he has a silver spoon, but because he is extremely talented and has what it takes to carve out his own niche in the music scene.
