Summit Festival 2022 Summit county fairgrounds
Music is the power that heals the soul, and what a better way to spend a day, 15 band’s 9 hours of music at Summit County Fairground. Summit Fest is in it’s second year and you could see the improvements from the start, a nice side stage VIP viewing area, 2 stages to reduce down time between set times, and reasonable drink and food prices.
Year two of Summit Fest included headliner metal-core heavyweights Unearth, death-core giants Impending Doom and trap metal heavy hitters Dropout Kings, as well as several national, regional, and local acts. Horns up to every band that took the stage at the festival, It’s hard for me to say one band had a better performance than another but here goes. Unearth are the seasoned veterans and put the hammer down. Impending Doom was a first time live performance for me and would love to catch them again. DOK is straight up lit live, the energy level with DOK is off the hook!!!! So let me be clear, every band hit it hard on stage and without the those bands taking the stage early, there wouldn’t be festivals. Every band plays a part in making a great festival.
We have covered festivals and it’s tough on the wallet for the fans, but Summit Fest is affordable at $40 for GA ticket and $5 to park. A huge shout out to Chris and his entire staff for giving us a great festival experience, looking forward to 2023!!!!
We do apologize we had some minor photo equipment issues in the beginning that caused a couple bands to not get coverage…….truly sorry!!!
