“RAVEN’S DIARY” the “WHITE ALBUM”
A Raven White Journey
A Softer Dark Side of our music
Raven – I think it was back in 2015 when we were writing our 200 song homework from our Producer, Ulrich Wild. When you’re writing this many songs, there are so many ideas and a lot of my ideas or vocal Melodies and lyrics that just didn’t fit the Dark Metal Carnival sound and storyline of the first comic book issue. But….I loved the lyrics, Melodies and emotion of many songs. It was then I felt that there would be a time and place for these types of songs in the future. I was never sure about when the timing would be right, and believed that I would know one day. The day had come. After my father began getting sick last year in 2020, I knew I wanted to work on this special album. When he passed away in November 2021, it became a must release, this album and dedicate it to him. He and my Mother have been my longest most dedicated fans from the first moment I sang in my life at the age of 4.
Raven – Emotion.
Raven – Creating music that I love without any limitations.
Raven – The hardest part is the financial strain and keeping up with staying relevant without any industry support. No one sees or hears anything about us without our personal hand in making every single connection. The advantages are simple. We do whatever we want without permission or approval by people who aren’t any part of the creativity of our music and art. What I’ve learned this past two years is that even if you’re placed in a big fancy store, if your product is placed on the back shelf, no one will know it’s there except the store that is collecting money for placing it there. If you’re going to spend money to invest in exposure and advertising, be sure to get the exposure like touring and appearances, This way you have the chance to show yourself to new and dedicated fans. Also, you get to choose who you wanna work with and who you don’t want to work with. |
