The Nocturnal Affair…an up-and-coming band that you have to see live!
I’m one to always get to a venue early so I can check out the locals that open the show. Well, there weren’t any locals opening the Save The World Tour which featured Fozzy, Seventh Day Slumber, and The Nocturnal Affair.
That situation actually threw The Nocturnal Affair into the new band category. One, of course they were the opening act and two, it was the first time that I had seen them. However, I can assure you it won’t be my last, because they were outstanding. They set the table for the final two bands as far as energy level goes.
Front man, Brendan Shane, has a voice that reminds me of Benjamin Burnley of Breaking Benjamin. He delivers a haunting sound that keeps the attention of the audience and has them wanting more. The musical foursome behind him, Andy Ingraham (guitar), Dru Lappin (guitar), Michael James (bass), and Raistlin ‘RJ’ Hannam (drums) were powerful and had a non-nonsense delivery!
I recently had the opportunity to interview Shane to learn more about the band and what it was like to be on the road with Fozzy and Seventh Day Slumber. You can check that out plus watch their new video for their tune ‘Down’.
Until next time, this is Big L saying, ‘keep those horns up and rock on’!! \m/ \m/
