We at Rockline Magazine are always looking for new ways to support both local and regional bands. Helping smaller bands spread their music and grow their fanbase is our passion. Always looking for ways to boost a band’s name, we are willing to do what we can. That is why, beginning this week, we are going to select a random band that is releasing a new video and put it in the spotlight.
If you want to get involved and are in a local or regional band, whether from the Ohio area or anywhere in the U.S., get us your videos. We will try to get them out there for fans to view.
The first band that we are going to feature hails from Southern Ohio called SoHi. The band currently consists of Steve Abele (guitar, lead vocals), Laura Miller (guitar), Kent Jolley (bass), and JerOmy Rupert (drums). Their collaboration for “GI Jones’n” is our first entry in this weekly feature and premiered on Friday, June 10.
“SoHi is proud to release their newest song and video for GI Jones’n. It is a snappy little tune about hanging out with someone from your era and everything just seems to relate and fall into place. You will notice all the 1970’s imagery when it was the greatest time to be a kid.
We would like to give special thanks to Joe Viers at Sonic Lounge Studios in Columbus for the awesome recording. We would also like to recognize the outstanding effort of Brian Adams at Motion Digital for a fantastic video, catching the vibe. SoHi is filming our next video soon so stay tuned!”
Check out SoHi’s “GI Jones’n and head over to their website or Facebook page to see more videos. I do not think there is a bad one in the bunch.
Also, if you have a band and want to get involved, contact us and we’ll see what we can do to to get your latest music and videos out to the masses.
Until next time this is Big L saying ‘keep those horns up and rock on!! \m/ \m/
