Arizona prog metal band, DemiAura, releases debut albun via Pavement Entertainment on July 16th.
DemiAura is a progressive metal band that Hails from Phoenix, Arizona. The four-piece ensemble who signed with Pavement Entertainment back in 2019. They just recently released their debut album, “The Ascendant”, on July 16th. The band self-produced the album at Black Paw Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. They also worked on a video for the single ‘Between Two Fires’ which was filmed at various Arizona landmarks.
Drawing its influences from rogues and giants of the prog genre like Rush, Fates Warning, Tesseract, Periphery, Opeth and others, DemiAura still delivers a sound uniquely their own. Their music is forged organically through inspired improvisation, refined into complex, atmospheric metal, uniquely seasoned with layers of cinematic depth, then ultimately delivered with a fiery technical precision.
DemiAura is the latest incarnation that Keith Heaney (drummer) came up with. Along with veteran guitarist Bobby Chavez and keyboardist Jonathan Gabriel, Jr., the trio searched endlessly to find a vocalist who would be the proper fit that they were looking for. Finally, in 2017 Chelsea Wrathchild auditioned and the project was complete.
Take the time to listen to the attached video of ‘Between Two Fires’. Once you do you’ll see that DemiAura has the talent to go to the next level and beyond. Their sound is crisp and definitely something worth adding to your musical library. Outstanding effort for a debut album!!
