SCATTERED HAMLET Releases New EP…
The hillbillies have done it once again. They have released yet another mountain of jabroni smashing, Appalachian history with their new EP, Wishing Well.
Wishing Well, was never supposed to happen. Scattered Hamlet had plans of releasing a full length album in 2020 with extensive touring to follow. However, the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic but a halt to those plans. Instead of going another year without new music from the redneck trio, Scattered Hamlet went back into the studio with producer Ari Mihalopoulos (OTEP) to record a special quarantine release for their fans. The full length album, Stereo Overthrow will be out in mid 2021.
Wishing Well features four new tracks and a remastered version of Scattered Hamlet 2010 fan favorite classic, “Friends.” A ridiculously stupid, but perfectly fitting, music video for the quirky song has been released alongside the EP and you can stream the song on Spotify’s Hard Rock Playlist.
Fans who buy a physical copy will also be surprised to see a bonus track added as a sixth song. Back in 2018, the band released a cover of Twisted Sister’s “Stay Hungry” as a tribute to their founding member, Jake De Long, who was in a horrible accident rendering him in a coma. The song was only released digitally and now can be found as a bonus track on the physicals for Wishing Well.
Continuing the theme of tributes, “Legends Dont Die” is a shout out of respect to one of Hollywood most influential and talented actors, Billy Bob Thorton. Frontman, Adam Joad, is often times seen rocking a Smokey and The Bandit themed guitar on stage or in the studio. Needless to say, Joad is a major Thorton fan and decided to pay respects to the Legend on the new album.

Frontman Adam Joad, Speaking on the success of Wishing Well’s lead single “Black Flag”:
“Black Flag is one of the band’s most successful singles to date. It has been added to national radio rotations and quickly has become a fan favorite. This one really seemed to get people’s attention… I just wanted to give a shout out to bands that influenced us and what we do. We’ve been getting preorders from all around the world – it’s super humbling because I remember dumpster diving for some left over pizza outside a venue back in the early days. Wishing Well was designed to get some new Scattered Hamlet Music out during the Pandemic since the full length album was shelved due to tour support not being possible in 2020”

Scattered Hamlet describes themselves as the truck nutz of rock and roll. The band is fueled by an equal love of Smokey and the Bandit, the Dukes of Hazzard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Motorhead, and Outlaw Country. Hailing from a variety of punk underground bands, Scattered Hamlet has had their music featured on the NASCAR Heat 3 video game soundtrack, WCPW Wrestling, Travis Pastrana’s Nitro Circus and Adult Swim, while appearing live at major U.S. festivals like Sturgis Buffalo Chip (Mainstage), Rockfest WI, Rocklahoma, Inkcarceration, Vans Warped Tour, and strangely, even the Gathering of Juggalos. The band also maintains their own relentless touring schedule bringing their music to clubs, honky tonks and music halls across the country.
