Big L interviews Ralph Buso of Pavement Entertainment recording artist, Ravenscroft!

Pavement Records recording artist Ravenscroft is a collaboration of four musicians whose vision came together with the release of See Through” on March 20th. This six song EP is chocked full of pure hardcore rock-n-roll and deserves a spot in your music library.

“See Through” is full of heavy metal riffs and a pulsating rhythm sound that catches the
attention of your earholes from the opening of the haunting tune ‘Always Falling’. Things pick up with track #2 ‘Anything’ which features the vocal range of lead man, Ralph Buso.

‘Bed of Nails’ continues to highlight the amazing talent of Buso while Joe Aghassi impresses with the sticks. Brett Gorke tickles the twine with incredible mesmerizing precision during a mid-song solo while all along Devin Baker (bass) amplifes the heavy hitting rhythm section.

‘See Through’ (my favorite song among the six tracks) delivers a ballad like sound with a pulsating blast of pure power. All four band members put forth an unabashed performance that is hit worthy. ‘Vengeance’ follows and is highlighted by the tremendous talents that Aghassi and Baker share. The duo is a virtual jackhammer throughout. Gorke once again puts his digits to the six string with an insatiable solo midway through. You’re absolutely wanting more following the amazing collaboration.

Wrapping up the EP is a pair of remixes of ‘Anything’ and ‘See Through’. However, prior to those the foursome does a cover of the Nine Inch Nails’ ditty ‘Head Like a Hole’. To say that Ravenscroft does the song justice would be a major understatement. Buso is outstanding emulating one of his musical influences, Trent Reznor.

Besides NIN, the band has also been influenced by the likes of Highly Suspect, Disturbed,
Sevendust, and Godsmack. While I’m not ready to put Ravenscroft on that lofty pedestal, I truly believe that given the chance, they can become a household name.

Below you’ll 5nd my interview with Buso. We talk about the formation of the band and how they’re dealing (like the rest of us) with our country’s pandemic situation among other things.

Until next time this is Big L saying ‘keep those horns up and rock on!! \m/ \m/
