The Battle For Inkcarceration Begins!

The warm up to summer festival season begins this Saturday when Filthy Productions presents The Battle for Inkcarceration at The Alrosa Villa in Columbus Ohio.

Local bands from all over Ohio will compete for a chance to play at Inkcarceration Tattoo and Music Festival . There will be two first place winners for the Inkcarceration slots (1 from the February 8th Battle, and 1 from the Febrary 15th Battle ). In addition there will be two 2nd place winners:

The Battle will be run very differently from past competitions judged solely on merit. Bands will be judged based on a point system on multiple criteria including performance, crowd participation, and overall professionalism.

With all the amazing talent, judges are sure to have a tough decision on their hands, but as Jay Coughlin from Filthy Productions explains, even bands that do not make it on to Inkcarceration this year can still be considered a winner. “Some of them we will definitely be working with in the future when we book national shows. Altogether we want the ‘Battle for Inkcarceration’ to be a great show and opportunity for bands all over to come out and have a great time. This is going to be an amazing couple of shows with great bands, fans, friends and family.”

Performing in the February 8th Battle:

Grasmere
Neverdawn
